QoS meets Donaeo Prt 2…..

Many had got used to the short time periods between Donaeo’s singles, causing a constant look out for a new banger with every release. Then came release of the album and single both titled Party Hard. As Party Hard took the club scene by storm in many different ways, Donaeo kind of went quiet on the releases front but kept his name present via PAs and features with other musicians.

Then came word of a new single and video shoot As I entered the building, the dancefloor was being prepared and the dancers were all getting their make up applied. Shortly after they entered and took to the dancefloor following instructions of choreography from Lazara Storm who also featured as the main girl in Donaeo’s Devil In A Blue Dress video. These girls were going at it, over and over again, under the heat of the intense lighting.

A while later Donaeo appears taking his place on a carefully located white armchair, dressed very swaggerific as usual. The girls are still in shot and they’re going at it again, over and over…

At this point I decide to check out who else is in the building…

This shoot isn’t like the previous shoots, this shoot has various mediums of media floating around getting their own account of behind the scenes footage. Admittedly, today I’ve shown up to provide some support to Donaeo, Luke Van Boom, Reggie and all the other members of the MyIsh family, but after Donaeo greets me and thanks me for coming, we both agree that it’s time for the dictaphone to make an appearance and for me to do QoS meets Donaeo part 2.

A GREAT House & Funky Mix CD!

So many have probably noticed that the Mix CD of the month page has been discontinued. Truth is that many of the CDs started to sound the same and I felt that a CD should hold a certain quality to really get a buzz….. So what makes a good mix CD?

Something that holds flavour mostly before it even gets played…. As in offers something different. DJ Sef has been very consistent to offer this with his Afro Power series, but when I got told about a certain mix CD that had been done, I wanted to hear it straight away!

Not only was this CD from Marcus Nasty, but also was graced by Dreem Team’s very own DJ Spoony and of course was hosted MC Rankin. Upon listening….. It was more than I bargained for!!!

This CD takes you on a journey…. A sensual, passionate one that in music tells you exactly what Summer is ALL about…. It is SERIOUSLY SEXY!!! The first time I heard it, I reloaded the whole CD 3 times and STILL put it on again later!!

Wanna hear it??

Marcus Nasty B2B Spoony hosted by MC Rankin

I’m Fly (Official Video)

This track mashing up the Funky scene in a way that hasn’t been seen since…… Ummmm…. Party Hard maybe??

Anyway, check out the official video (this is the TV edit so look out for the extended version) for I’m Fly and look out for Donaeo’s interview in the upcoming issue of Da-Mjuzik Magazine

Versatile is THE MAN!!!

This one has been bubbling around for a while and although it’s rather catchy, I’m still not sure what I think about it. It’s not really like we needed for Versatile to remind us of his hooks as he’s rather established within the scene already, but I suppose that’s what makes him ‘the man’.

The video has been graced by none other than Griminal, but I would prefer a lyric that never said ‘me, me, all about me’ for a change as it’s been used in a few features now, but nevertheless I guess that’s his ‘thing’ and the young artist is never an unwanted piece of eye candy for the ladies so I guess it’s quickly forgotten.

One thing that really does bug me about this video though is the colourful collection of wooly hats…… Class, style and a large selection of knitted hats from John Lewis! It does make me have to wonder what Versatile was hiding underneath there!!!

Missing Meleka?

This is the follow up single from the songstress after encouraging all the ladies to throw out their fellas….. Now she’s encouraging them to all find out how much they’re being missed!!!

Fun and jokes aside, I’m not sure if this track holds as much weight as ‘Go’ did, but it definitely does hold some appeal within itself….

Check it out, titled ‘Miss Me’

Hustle Hard

Coming from Detox & Igniter – The duo discovered by the African Warrior Donaeo and signed to Zephron (Donaeo’s independent record label)

Donaeo believes these two hold his thirst for music and success. Donaeo has also stated that he would like for them to be given a chance and accepted without his influence taken in his mind.

So what do you think ??

Put Your Hands Up!!

He came storming on the scene ringing ‘sirens’ everywhere and continued to ‘reign’ with greatness proving that he is the ‘colonel’ of ‘the music’ causing others to ‘peek and duck’!!

Hard House Banton has now teamed up with the old skool Garage veteran MC PSG to create digital record label Angel Brothers. The first production coming out of the camp is ‘Put Your Hands Up’ which is produced by Hard House Banton and features MC PSG, Shizzio and Tiger S who also featured on So Solid’s Ride Wid Us.

Put Your Hands Up will be released on August 16th.

Da-Mju:zik have been paying close attention to the steps being made by Angel Brothers…. Have a look at the behind the scenes coverage at their video shoot.

If you’d like to know more about Angel Brothers and read about what went down at the shoot, you can find a feature within Issue 5 of Da-Mju:zik Magazine and also catch an interview with Hard House Banton himself within Issue 7…..
